Bridgette Jordan joined the TNSTEP Board in January 2025, bringing both personal experience and a strong passion for advocacy. She was first introduced to TNSTEP through her family’s journey navigating the educational system for her daughter, Skyy, who was born completely blind. Through TNSTEP, Bridgette and her family gained a deeper understanding of the significance of an Individualized Education Program (IEP) and, importantly, the rights available to parents and families throughout its implementation. What was once a tool they used became a powerful resource they fully understood and could confidently advocate within.
Motivated by her own experience, Bridgette joined the TNSTEP Board to help support and empower other families. She is passionate about advocating for the rights and responsibilities of parents and ensuring they feel informed and confident as they navigate their child’s educational journey. She currently serves on the Strategic Planning Committee.
Professionally, Bridgette is an Affiliate Broker with Jordan Real Estate in Germantown, Tennessee. She resides in Collierville, Tennessee, in Shelby County, with her family.
Bridgette’s advice to families visiting TNSTEP for the first time is rooted in experience: TNSTEP has spent decades advocating for parents and families across Tennessee. She encourages families to take the time to connect, learn about their rights, and equip themselves with the knowledge needed to be the strongest possible advocate for their child’s education.
