Stephanie Phillips joined the TNSTEP Board of Directors in October 2024. She was first introduced to TNSTEP through her professional work in student support and advocacy and quickly came to value the organization’s commitment to empowering families and improving outcomes for individuals with disabilities across Tennessee.
Stephanie’s connection to the disability community is both professional and deeply personal. Through her work in education and student support services, she has supported individuals with disabilities and guided families as they navigate complex systems, strengthening her commitment to equity, access, and inclusive practices.
She currently serves as Director of Counseling and Student Support Services at Lane College and as Campus Coordinator for the HBCU Wellness Project. Stephanie holds a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and is a Doctor of Behavioral Health candidate. She also holds certifications in family support, youth mental health, and trauma-informed care.
Stephanie serves on TNSTEP’s fundraising and nominating committees and is passionate about advancing the organization’s mission through leadership, advocacy, and community engagement.
