Stinks to be Sue Youth Training – Part 1
June 14 @ 6:30 pm - 7:45 pm CDT

We’ll solve the mystery of Sue, a high school student whose plans for life after high school are being made without her input or needs in mind.
Sue has an IEP and a transition plan, but there’s a problem: the plan is not working well for Sue. Together, we’ll look for clues, uncover what went wrong, and learn how youth can take a more active role in planning for life after high school.
This training will cover:
- What a transition plan is and why it matters
- What went wrong with Sue’s plan
- How Sue can rework her plan to better align with her interests, passions, and needs
- Diploma options, supported decision-making, post-high school options, and helpful resources
- Ways youth can build confidence in speaking up for themselves
